Out of those 100 guitars you might find a hand full that have stripped them for parts.  The point is if you ever come across a 1959 Esquire Tele Bridge pickup you better open your wallet wide because you are not the only one looking for them. We bought an original 1959 Esquire Relic Tele Bridge for a couple for thousand for reference.

What Illusion Pickups has done is replicate the “original 1959 Esquire Relic Tele Bridge Pickup”. Each pickup is hand crafted with quality craftsmanship in every detail.  All the parts used to build the 1959 Esquire reproduction are matched to the original pickup. Proper magnet wire, black vulcanized-fiber material, copper-plated steel baseplate, vintage-style coil-wrapping string, black and white pushback wire, mounting screws and compressible tubing for height adjustment.

Illusion Pickups has two models of the 1959 Esquire Reproduction one with flush pole pieces (Original) and raised pole pieces on D & G strings (Modified). The DC resistance matches the original of 9.6k-10k and to top it off the 1959 Esquire Reproduction Tele Bridge has been wax potted just like the original. The bottom line is Illusion Pickups has produced a clone of the original 1959 Esquire Tele Bridge that was nick named the “pickup from hell” that won’t cost you thousands out of your own pocket.
